CMI Toyota Fleet and Parts Function 2022

The historic Guardsman Bar, originally built in 1928 within the Adelaide Train Station, was the perfect setting for this year’s CMI Toyota Fleet and Parts Function!

After a two-year hiatus, it was wonderful to be able to once again have so many of our incredible fleet and parts customers together!

Not only did we take the opportunity to thank them for their continued support with an evening of great food and beverages, we also had a special surprise guest speaker join us for the afternoon – Kevin Sheedy OA!

The formalities kicked off with CMI Toyota Senior General Manager, Drew Ford, welcoming our guests and teasing the arrival of the surprise special guest later in the afternoon.

We then heard from Toyota Senior Business Fleet Manager, Trevor Greer, who gave everyone a special insight into Toyota’s exciting electric future and the unprecedented demand Toyota Motor Corporation are currently experiencing across the globe. 

During more delicious canapes, drinks and networking, we enjoyed great music from Tim Bos who also impressed on the saxophone. Then, our incredible special guest speaker, Kevin Sheedy, took to the stage to entertain our guests. 

Kevin Sheedy is considered a legend in the world of Australian Football, having been inducted into the Australian Football Hall of Fame in 2008 after playing and coaching a combined total of 929 games – a VFL/AFL record. In the 60s and 70s, Sheedy played for Richmond in the VFL, winning three premierships. Following this, Sheedy coached the Essendon Football club in the VFL and AFL for nearly three decades, winning four premierships, and has also coached at Greater Western Sydney.

We were thrilled to be able to hear from Sheedy on the significant impact he’s had on the AFL, particularly at the Essendon Football Club, as well as the ways he’s navigated the many public triumphs and losses he’s experienced throughout his long and incredibly successful career. Guests were then treated to a Q&A session, of which Kevin was able to answer our guests’ questions with great recall and detail. 

Following his time on stage, Kevin Sheedy stayed on and gave our guests the opportunity to spend time with him one-on-one for the rest of the event which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.
