The 2016 City-Bay started off a bit chilly and a little rainy, but it didn’t dampen the spirits of the 25,000 who took part in the iconic race.
Gorillas ran alongside Olympic athletes in a race to the finish, with Rio competitors Brett Robinson and Eloise Wellings taking 1st place in their respective 12km categories.
As a long term sponsor of the event, CMI Toyota donated a brand new 2016 Yaris Hatchback to be the prize for the Early Entry Drive. Anyone who registered before August 31 was automatically entered in the Early Entry Drive and in with a chance to win!
We were very happy to present the Yaris to an excited Jade Ferguson. Not old enough to drive yet, her Dad Alex and sister Lucy helped pick up the car at the dealership after the race. Well done Jade!
