Every year, the Toyota National Skills program is conducted across Australia over nine months and the top performers from each region compete in the National Skills Region Finals.
Recently the Central Region National Finals took place here in Adelaide, and we’re extremely proud to announce that our team took out top spot in three of seven categories!

Apprentice Technician – Cameron Stewart, CMI Toyota Christies Beach

The Apprentice Technician category has been developed to test the skills and knowledge of participants, and to give them the opportunity to learn and develop further. We couldn’t be prouder of Cameron, who clearly has a very exciting career ahead of him!
Technician – Aaron Radogna, CMI Toyota Stepney

The Technician category sees the handful of participants selected to progress to finals, able to celebrate their skills and achievements, and to have our very own Technician, Aaron, take out top spot for our region is an incredible feat! Well done, Aaron.
Guest Experience – Enzo Vin, CMI Toyota

Guest Experience is such a key part of dealership life, and this category is certainly designed to challenge and inspire its participants. Enzo is no stranger to success, having recently taken out the National Gold Award for Marketing and Guest Experience at the 2023 Toyota Dealer of the Year Awards, so we’re extremely excited to see Enzo continue to achieve at Toyota National Skills!
We’d also like to give a special mention to CMI Toyota Adelaide, Sales Consultant, Stephen Buckley, who was recognised with a special award in the Sales Experience category. Stephen was the Sales Experience Toyota Finance Winner!

Toyota National Skills Competition
Across the nine month period, employees across the Toyota dealer network build on their knowledge, skills, and competency, with the program covering seven primary dealership roles:
- Diagnosis Technician
- Technician
- Apprentice Technician
- Service Advisor
- Parts Sales
- Guest Experience
- Sales Experience
Stage 1 consists of a number of eLearning modules, online quizzes, and face-to-face assessments, until Stage 2 where the highest ranked participants within each category are invited to participate in Region finals. Finally in Stage 3, the Region Champions are then selected for National Finals.

National Finals are an exciting opportunity for participants to represent their dealership and show off their skills, by conducting a range of practical skill assessments and hands-on problem solving scenarios.
