We are extremely proud to see so many people in the community lending a hand to those who have recently been affected by the bushfires across South Australia and Australia, including members of the CMI Toyota team.
Following the bushfires on Kangaroo Island, Danielle, one of our sales consultants, and a group of friends were collecting donated medical supplies for the team who run the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park.
Unbeknownst to us or Danielle, Sam, from Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park, was in desperate need of a new vehicle to ensure they could continue their work in the recovery efforts on KI.
Sam and members of his team had stayed during the bushfires to defend the property and now needed a new vehicle which would be able to assist in the recovery efforts as their current one could not.
Following the containment of the bushfires on the Island, Sam rang CMI Toyota to discuss his options to purchase a vehicle and it was just by chance that Danielle answered his call that day - the rest they say, was meant to be.
Danielle got to work straight away to ensure that she could put together the best deal for Sam and deliver the car to them during her pre-planned trip over KI, just three days later.
From there, thanks to everyone’s efforts across CMI Toyota, Danielle was able to deliver Sam’s new LandCruiser 79 Series in a very a short space of time.
Whilst on the Island, Danielle and her friends spent three days assisting in the recovery efforts and saw firsthand the devastation the bushfire had caused to the amazing community and also the animals which were continuously being brought to the wildlife park needing care.
Thank you to Danielle for your efforts in ensuring that the LandCruiser could be delivered so quickly to Sam and his team, and for your dedication to the relief efforts! Our thoughts are with the Kangaroo Island community and we encourage you to continue to visit and support this amazing region of South Australia.
