CMI Toyota Get Home Safe Foundation Christmas in July Gala Raises $15,000 for Road Safety Programs
Earlier this year, we were proud to once again support the annual CMI Toyota Get Home Safe Foundation Christmas in July Gala, helping to raise awareness and vital funds for road safety education and advocacy programs across South Australia.
Held on Saturday, 25 July 2026, at the InterContinental Adelaide, the popular fundraising event brought together road safety advocates, community leaders, sponsors and supporters for an evening dedicated to creating safer roads for all South Australians.
Organised by Get Home Safe Foundation leaders Darren and Debbie Davis, the Gala plays an important role in supporting the Foundation's ongoing efforts to deliver road safety education, awareness initiatives and advocacy programs, particularly throughout regional South Australia.
Guests arrived dressed in their finest for the evening's "Black Tie with a Hint of Christmas" theme before gathering in the beautifully presented Ballroom at the InterContinental Adelaide. The festive atmosphere set the scene for a memorable night of entertainment, fundraising and community connection.

Hosting the evening was 5AA presenter Stacey Lee, who guided guests through a packed schedule of formalities, fundraising activities and special guest presentations. One of the highlights of the night was an engaging road safety panel discussion featuring guest speakers, including The Hon. Ben Hood MLC, who shared insights into regional road safety challenges and advocacy efforts across South Australia.
Entertainment throughout the evening featured Australian Idol favourite Johnny Jukebox and Adelaide band The Funky Lamas, whose energetic performances kept guests entertained well into the night.

The event was proudly supported by CMI Toyota, marking the eighth consecutive year of support, alongside major supporter Mortgage Choice Glenelg and major partners Toyota Australia and Redarc Electronics.
Fundraising remained at the heart of the evening, with both live and silent auctions offering guests the opportunity to bid on a range of exciting prizes. One of the standout auction items, a Dinner for Four at Parliament House generously donated by Ben Hood, attracted strong bidding as guests rallied behind the Foundation's important cause.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of attendees, sponsors and supporters, the 2026 CMI Toyota Get Home Safe Foundation Christmas in July Gala raised more than $15,000. These funds will help the Foundation continue delivering life-saving road safety education, awareness programs and community initiatives designed to reduce road trauma across South Australia.

We would like to sincerely thank everyone who attended, donated and contributed to the success of the evening. Together, we are helping the Get Home Safe Foundation continue its important mission of promoting safer road user behaviours and creating safer roads for future generations.
The Get Home Safe Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to developing, delivering and supporting road safety initiatives throughout Australia.
