Proudly Supporting the 2026 City-Bay Fun Run
CMI Toyota was proud to continue its long-standing partnership with the iconic City-Bay Fun Run, supporting one of South Australia's most celebrated community events once again in 2026.
CMI Toyota has proudly partnered with the City-Bay Fun Run for 15 years, reflecting our ongoing commitment to supporting local communities, encouraging active lifestyles, and helping bring South Australians together through events that promote health, wellbeing and connection.
Held on 20 September 2026, the City-Bay Fun Run once again offered something for everyone, from seasoned runners chasing personal bests to families, friends and colleagues looking to enjoy a fun and rewarding day out. Participants chose from a range of events, including the Half Marathon, 12km, 6km and 3km running, walking and wheelchair categories, making the event accessible to people of all ages and abilities.

This year, more than 100 employees from across CMI Toyota and the broader CMV Group, along with their families and friends, proudly represented the CMI Toyota City-Bay Team, joining thousands of South Australians in support of this iconic event. It was fantastic to see team members pull on their Team CMI Toyota shirts and participate across the various distances, whether running, walking or cheering from the sidelines.
Among the many outstanding performances on the day, CMI Toyota Ambassador Izzi Batt-Doyle, one of Australia's leading distance runners and Olympians, once again showcased her exceptional talent by claiming first place in the Women's 12km event. In an extraordinary achievement, the victory marked her third consecutive City-Bay Fun Run 12km title. As a proud ambassador for CMI Toyota and an inspirational figure within the South Australian sporting community, Izzi continues to demonstrate the dedication, determination and excellence that make her one of the nation's most respected athletes. We congratulate her on another remarkable performance and are proud to support her ongoing success.
As part of CMI Toyota's ongoing support of the City-Bay Fun Run, all participants who registered before 31 August were automatically entered into a draw to win a $5,000 cash prize. This year's lucky winner was Mark, who completed the 12km event before visiting the dealership to meet CMI Toyota Group General Manager Jason Cann and officially claim his prize. The annual giveaway is one of the ways CMI Toyota encourages participation in the event and rewards South Australians for embracing an active and healthy lifestyle.

Following the event, team members were invited to visit the CMI Toyota marquee on Colley Reserve, where they were treated to a well-earned breakfast thanks to Orange Spot Bakery. The team enjoyed a selection of delicious refreshments, including fresh croissants and egg and bacon rolls, providing the perfect opportunity to refuel after their walk or run.
The marquee also provided a fantastic space for the team to reconnect, compare times, share stories from the course and celebrate individual achievements. It was wonderful to see colleagues from across different departments and businesses come together, unwind and recover while enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of the event village. These moments of connection and camaraderie are a big part of what makes the City-Bay Fun Run such a special event for the CMI Toyota team each year.

CMI Toyota's support of the event extended beyond participant involvement, with a Toyota Corolla and Toyota Kluger supplied to help event organisers deliver a safe and successful event. Seeing Toyota vehicles playing an active role in supporting the logistics and operations of the day was another great example of our commitment to the South Australian community and the events that bring people together.
The City-Bay Fun Run continues to play an important role in raising funds for athletics in South Australia and supporting a range of local charities. Since its humble beginnings in 1973, when just 1,600 runners participated, the event has grown into one of Australia's largest and most recognised fun runs, welcoming tens of thousands of participants each year.
CMI Toyota was proud to once again stand alongside the City-Bay community and support an event that encourages people to challenge themselves, stay active and give back to important causes.

Congratulations to everyone who took part in the 2026 City-Bay Fun Run, whether you completed the Half Marathon, tackled the 12km course, enjoyed a casual walk with friends and family, or supported participants from the sidelines.
We were delighted to be part of another successful City-Bay Fun Run and look forward to continuing our support of this iconic South Australian event in the years to come.
