Accessories aim to empower people to move more freely, safely and independently
In a first for the Australian automotive market, Toyota Australia has launched an Assisted Mobility Solutions range of genuine accessories designed to make entering, exiting and travelling in a vehicle easier for those who require mobility support.
With more than 5.5 million Australians, or over 21 per cent of the population, identifying as people with disability, the products support Toyota’s commitment to raising awareness of accessible transport solutions and creating mobility for all.

Many Australians face everyday movement challenges, often without access to practical, vehicle-integrated support beyond products supplied by specialist providers. For some, entering and exiting a vehicle can be one of the most significant barriers to independent travel.
The Assisted Mobility Solutions range of products are available through Toyota’s national dealer network and include an Assist Handle, Assist Strap, Swivel Assist Cushion, Rear Assist Handle and Seatbelt Assist, each designed to provide practical support and help make everyday vehicle access and movement easier.

With a strong focus on usability, the range has been developed to be simple to use, transportable and compatible across most Toyota models, ensuring practical support can be incorporated into everyday driving routines.
Toyota Australia Vice President Sales, Marketing and Franchise Operations, John Pappas said the products were designed to provide mobility assistance for people with disability or those in need of support for whatever reason, and can have a significant impact on improving their quality of life.

“We know everyday movement can be challenging for many, so our team’s focus is on introducing a range of products designed to provide people with diverse mobility needs with the tools to keep moving with confidence and make a meaningful difference in their daily lives,” Mr Pappas said.
“These are relatively simple products but ones that can make a big difference to the ease of getting in and out of a vehicle for anyone who needs mobility support.”

“By making them available through our extensive Toyota dealer network and ensuring they meet the high quality standards of all Toyota genuine accessories, we are able to make them accessible to the people who need them, wherever they are in Australia,” he said.
For many households, mobility challenges affect not only the individual but also carers and family members supporting everyday transport. By offering practical, easy-to-use solutions, Toyota aims to make vehicle access more inclusive, without requiring extensive vehicle modification, providing confidence for families seeking straightforward mobility support options.

Engineered to Toyota standards of quality, safety, reliability and durability, the products are designed to integrate seamlessly into everyday life while extending mobility support beyond the vehicle itself.
The Assisted Mobility Solutions range of products are available to purchase through CMI Toyota.
